Description:  Boys in grades 1-5 are given a strong foundation on which to build healthy relationships and future dreams. Through the positive example of parents and adult leaders, they learn respect for God, country, and each other. As boys complete 5th grade, they are ready to continue on their journey of character development and self discovery. Boy Scouts embrace new challenges as they assume leadership roles. They accept new responsibilities, develop new skills, and improve their self-esteem. Venturing is a program for young men and women who have completed the eighth grade. Its purpose is to provide positive experiences to help young people mature and prepare them to become responsible and caring adults. Local community organizations establish Venturing crews by matching their people and program resources to the interest of young people in the community.
